Alloy announce the pre-release range of low cost POE switches

Alloy will shortly be releasing a low cost 8 Port Fast Ethernet POE switch, allowing you to add POE devices to your network at a fraction of the cost of traditional POE switches.
The new POEFE8T comprises of 8x 10/100Mbps ports allowing a total of 7.7W per port to power your IP Phones. With the ability to support up to 15.4W of power on 4 Ports this switch will be sure to suit your 802.3af POE needs.
The POEFE24T is a low cost 24 Port Fast Ethernet POE Switch with 24x 10/100Mbps ports allowing a total of 7.7W per port to power your IP Phones. With the ability to support up to 15.4W of power on 12 Ports this switch will be sure to suit your 802.3af POE needs. This high port density low cost POE switch is perfect for installing multiple IP Phones into your new or existing VoIP Infrastructure.

NEW Yealink EXP39 LCD Expansion Module

Yealink's EXP39 Expansion Module is designed to enhance the flexibility and call-handling capacity of SIP-T28P and SIP-T26P IP Phones. The EXP39 features a 160×320 Graphic LCD and provides 20 programmable softkeys each paired with a dual-color LED. The EXP39 can be programmatically set to support most Yealink IP Phone functions via the units keys, for example 'one-touch' speed dialling. The EXP39's capacity is doubled through the use of a 'page switch' which allows you to cycle through two screens and have up to 40 programmable keys.

The presentation will include valuable information on the future of VoIP, computer telephony and software integration and a "how to" guide to enhance the functionality of existing systems.
Presenting the event will be Alloy experts Greg Round, Chris Pulsford and Karl Baker, sharing their expertise on implementing the right VoIP solution for small to medium businesses. Alloy will also take this opportunity to showcase pbxnsip after recently becoming the Australian distributor.
Alloy has been running a series of VoIP Roadshows over the last 2 years - expectations are that these seminars will be as popular as previous events.

Snom Announces M3 Mobility IP Phone

Snom, the respected German manufacturer of IP Phones, has announced that their snom-M3 IP DECT will be released in January 2008.
The snom-M3 promises to be an extremely flexible and expandable solution for office telephony mobility. The device can be configured as an extension to
most SIP standard IP-PBX's. The Base Station included with the product supports up to 8 M3 handsets, which can communicate via DECT at up
to 100 metres in clear space (indoor range approximately 50 metres). Office staff can now have an office PBX telephony solution that supports
call initiation and receive, plus the ability to make internal handset to handset calls.

Epygi Enhances Quadro6L PBX

Epygi has announced enhancements to the popular Quadro6L Small Business PBX. A new firmware revision is due for release in late October/early December 2007 which will increase the support for SIP Phone extensions from eight to ten.
Alloy, Epygi's Australian and New Zealand Distributor, will make the new firmware revision available for download from it's web site. The firmware revision will be available free of charge, and all existing Quadro6L customers will be able to update the systems.
The Quadro6L is available both in 'device only' and bundled formats. Quadro6L bundles have proved particularly popular, as the PBX, IP Phone and PoE switch are available with the Quadro6L configured to provide an operational small office telephone system 'out of the box'.

Alloy/ISPhone VoIP Breakfast Seminar

Alloy and ISPhone jointly hosted a Breakfast Seminar today for Resellers. The audience comprised a wide cross section of Resellers, and saw presentations from ISPhone on topics relating to the provision of ITSP services; Alloy presented material on current trends in VoIP related hardware and typical VoIP business applications. Announcements were also made by ISPone concerning their Melbourne PoP upgrade, and from Alloy details of new products (Forward notice of Epygi's new IP-PBX range; Snom's M3 mobility IP Phone) and new Distribution Agreements (Ingate - SIP-enabled Firewalls; ClearOne - Expandable VoIP Conference Phones)
The event proved to be extremely popular, with nearly 70 Reseller reps attending (apologies to those of you who had to stand at the back!). General feedback was very positive, and Alloy will look to host similar events in the future.
